Dayton Metropolitan Housing Authority (DMHA)

Misty Lane Renovation

VT Design Solutions provided MEP Engineering and Design services for the demolition and reconstruction of two single-story apartment buildings at the Misty Lane Complex in Dayton, Ohio. Building walls and internals were completely demolished and rebuilt with different room sizes and layouts. MEP scope of the project included installation of new gas fired furnaces, central air conditioning, bathroom exhaust, ductwork distribution, diffusers, programmable thermostats, and controls. New plumbing fixtures, hot water tank, floor drains, gas meters, and piping were installed. Plumbing piping system was designed using PEX piping components. Project also installed new power distribution system, interior and exterior lighting fixtures, receptacles, smoke alarms, and electric meters. MEP systems were specified and designed using Green Building Criteria.

Westdale Phase 2 Modernization

VT Design Solutions provided MEP Engineering and Design services for the modernization of five multi-story townhouse style apartment buildings at the Westdale Complex near Dayton, Ohio. Building internals were completely demolished and rebuilt with different room sizes and layouts. Prior to commencing the design, VT Design Solutions performed an onsite assessment of the mechanical and electrical systems that was used to develop a schematic design document consisting of an assessment report of findings, recommended scope items, and estimated construction cost. MEP scope of the project included installation of new gas fired furnaces, central air conditioning, bathroom exhaust, ductwork, programmable thermostats, and controls. New plumbing fixtures, hot water tank, floor drains, gas meters, and piping were installed. Existing HVAC and plumbing systems were demolished. Project also installed new power distribution system, interior and exterior lighting fixtures, receptacles, smoke alarms, and electric meters. MEP systems were specified and designed using Green Building Criteria.

Limestone Modena HVAC Upgrade

VT Design Solutions provided MEP Engineering and Design services for the HVAC and electrical upgrades of three multi-story apartment buildings at the Limestone Modena Complex in Dayton, Ohio. Prior to commencing the design, VT Design Solutions performed an on-site assessment of the electrical systems that was used to develop a schematic design document consisting of an assessment report of findings, recommended scope items, estimated new loads, and estimated construction cost. Existing HVAC furnaces were demolished and replaced with high efficiency gas fired condensing units, central air conditioning, ductwork, and ancillary piping modifications. Electrical upgrades were made to panel circuits, wiring, and the installation of new disconnects.

Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity House Renovation

VT Design Solutions provided MEP Engineering and Design services for the renovation of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity located near the Miami University campus in Oxford, Ohio. HVAC scope included the installation of a new handling unit, condenser unit, ductwork, diffusers, exhaust fan, and controls. Electrical scope included new power distribution, interior and exterior lighting, receptacles, and tele-communications. The Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity has a long and rich history at the campus and there was a strong desire to maintain the look and feel of the house. All MEP systems were designed to be concealed, hidden, and inconspicuous as possible.
